************************* SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - Sault MPP David Orazietti expresses his condolences to the family of Mayor John Rowswell who passed away today following a long and courageous battle with cancer:

"John was passionately committed to serving our community for the past ten years and it has been a privilege to work with him as mayor of our city.

"His vision of hope and opportunity for a better future for families in Sault Ste. Marie was always paramount in his efforts.

"I offer my sincere condolences to his wife, Donna, and his children; Joel, Donald, Patricia, Jody and his eight grandchildren.

"Their family’s immeasurable sorrow cannot possibly be consoled by any words said today, so all I can humbly offer is our sincere gratitude for his selfless devotion to serving our community."
