The following message to Robert Totime and Travis Syrette was released today by the Algoma Multicultural Centre:

************************* Dear Robert Totime and Travis Syrette:

We wish to express our support in the wake of your traumatizing experience.

We write this letter to let you know that you are not alone in this community even though recent experiences might have led you to believe otherwise.

The Algoma Multicultural Centre is acting in line with its mission of educating and fostering harmony within our city.

It is through groups like this that integration with in our community can be achieved with greater ease and Sault Ste. Marie's citizens can feel more comfortable and less awkward towards newcomers.

Just a thought: had any of the local police or mall security been more exposed to our international community they might have recognized Robert Totime and Travis Syrette and this whole ordeal could have been avoided.

Sincerely,

Algoma Multicultural Centre
