Tonight, a pickup truck crashed into Studio 10.

And, a man was shot in the 400 block of Korah Road.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service tells SooToday.com that it believes the two occurrences are related, and its investigators are working to unravel what appears to be a complex multi-scene crime.

One man was taken to hospital from the scene of the Studio 10 accident, where he was pronounced dead.

The condition of the man shot on Korah Road was not initially known.

It is also not known whether the man who fired the gun there has been apprehended.

City Police have deployed major investigative efforts at both scenes tonight.

"The driver was coming eastbound from the steel plant and ran into the corner of the Studio and the novelty store," reports a SooToday.com reader who sent us crash-scene photos.

The pickup hit the building between 7:15 and 7:30 p.m. and bystanders attempted to revive the driver with cardiopulmonary resuscitation until paramedics arrived, our reader says.
