East Street fire causes minor damage

Monday evening shortly before 8 p.m., Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services responded to a call at an East Street apartment complex.

When firefighters arrived, they found light smoke coming from a ground floor unit.

The fire, which cause minor damage to the unit, had been extinguished by the time they arrived.

This incident is not considered suspicious, and no injuries were reported.
