Federal Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre will be visiting Sault Ste. Marie for what the Conservatives are calling an Axe the Tax Breakfast for supporters at The Water Tower Inn this Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

Poilievre’s last stop in town took place in July 2023 and included a rally held at The Machine Shop and a one-on-one interview with SooToday at the Tim Hortons John Street location.

Poilievre has long campaigned against the Trudeau government’s carbon tax and has promised to scrap it if he and the Conservatives are elected in the next federal election.

Poilievre will be taking questions from media at 10 a.m. Sunday.
