Bus taken out of service after being crammed by hundreds

If you want to donate an item to this year's Stuff-a-Bus campaign, you'll have to hustle your buns to Wal-Mart before 2 p.m. today (Saturday). The bus is ready to pop with toys and food items and it'll be taken out of service at that hour.

Last night, the Stuff-a-Bus took on a torrent of stuffed animals as Soo Greynounds hosted the annual Teddy Bear toss (shown).

Stuff-a-Bus for Christmas Cheer is an annual promotion of Q-104, COPS Marketing and Sault Transit.

********************** (EDITOR'S NOTE: Please don't mention Brad Staubitz to our photographer for the next while. Last night, SooToday.com was planning to run a nice Teddy Bears Toss photo gallery of Saultites snuggling their bears, just like we did last year. Well, we were a little late getting to last night's Greyhounds game, and Staubitz had to be a show-off and score for the Hounds just 1:18 into the first period. That, of course, was the cue for everyone to toss their teddies onto the Gardens ice, and Helwig was last heard sputtering something that sounded like "puck, puck, P-U-C-K that Staubitz!" when he arrived a couple of minutes later and found out there was nothing for him to photograph. Oh well, you'll just have to look instead at the pictures he took last year. To see them, click here.)
