Driver of ATV seriously injured

Transported by helicopter

MENARD TWP, ON – On Saturday, July 7, 2012, at 6:15 p.m., OPP responded to a serious motor vehicle collision involving a single all-terrain vehicle.

A 42-year-old male from Sault Ste. Marie Ontario, driving a 2005 Polaris ADS, received serious head injuries when he was involved in a collision on a trail in Menard Township near Laughing Lake Road.

The injured male was air lifted from the scene by air ambulance (ORNGE) to Sault Area Hospital.

The male remains in the intensive care unit at Sault Area Hospital.

The investigation is continuing.
