Are shopping cart bandits stealing garden ornaments?

I too live in the Lake/Pine hill area.

I don’t know if this is related, but last evening, around 12:30 a.m., I was awakened by the sound of something rattling down my street.

I looked out my bedroom window and saw two people pushing a stolen shopping buggy down the middle of the street.

One of them seemed to be running to random front yard gardens and taking something and then running back to throw it into the cart.

I couldn’t see clearly what they were up to and then they were out of my sight.

After reading this article, I can’t help but suspect that perhaps these two people are the garden ornament thieves.

Although I can’t describe them beyond the shopping cart, I guess I can at least warn people to watch out for the shopping cart.
