A Sault Police officer has been charged following a collision Tuesday at the intersection of Pine Street and Wellington Street East, states a release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.
As reported earlier by SooToday, the officer in question was responding to a call in the area when a collision involving a police cruiser and an SUV occurred.
The officer has been charged with fail to stop for a red light under the Highway Traffic Act.
No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
