$45K in property missing from rental, two people charged

On July 30, 2019 officers with the Investigation Services Unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 38-year-old Jamie Dumoulin of Goulais River for theft over $5,000 and 38-year-old Michael Burke of Goulais River for possession of stolen property.

Earlier in July, Ms. Dumoulin notified her landlord she would be moving out of the residence she was renting on Airport Road. It’s alleged after she moved, the landlord noticed approximately $45,000 worth of property was missing. It’s further alleged Mr. Burke attempted to sell some of the property that was taken from the residence. 

On July 30, 2019, the two accused were taken into custody. Ms. Dumoulin is charged with one count of theft over $5,000 and Mr. Burke is charged with one count of possession of stolen property. Both of the accused are scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 9, 2019.
