VIDEO: Guy accused of pushing lady to the ground, stealing her purse

Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are requesting your assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an incident of robbery. 

On Aug. 13, 2019 at approximately 7:40 p.m. in the parking lot of Food Basics on Trunk Road the unknown male approached the victim while she was loading groceries into her car.  The unknown male demanded her purse and pushed her to the ground. The strap of the purse broke and the unknown male fled the scene. 

The male is described as early 20’s, about 5’6, fair skin, spiky blond hair, wearing a black long sleeve shirt with a purple design on the front. The suspect fled into nearby bushes where the purse was later located and was last seen heading eastbound across Boundary Road.
