Shannon and her son Tye have had a heartbreaking year. Shannon lost her husband Charlie after a life long battle with a family illness called T.R.A.P.S. (Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor-Associated Periodic Syndrome); her son Tye suffers from the same condition.
Shannon and Charlie were together 17 years and were married Sept. 16, shortly before Charlie's passing in October.
Shannon's sister Shantelle wrote to us and calls her an inspiration and the strongest person she knows.
