On the last day of Christmas, Merry Christmas Melody

In this last instalment of the 2014 edition of the 12 Days of Christmas - Random Acts of Kindness, we want to share some advice: have some tissues at the ready.

Samantha Mitchell is a young single mother to twin girls, Zoey and Melody Richards. At the age of 2, Melody was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and is currently unable to walk on her own. When the 12 Days of Christmas elves heard of this young girl's story, we had to help. The girls' grandmother, Debbie, gave us the idea of getting Melody an Upsee by Firefly. The Firefly Company is a leader in the research, design and development of postural care for children and the Upsee device would allow Melody to take her first steps. The Village Media workshop was so moved and inspired by this charming little firecracker that we can't wait to see her again and do a follow-up story.
