VIDEO: There's room for you at the Fringe

Buskers, street performers, and theatre acts set to take over downtown

The first annual Fringe North International Theatre Festival is coming to Sault Ste. Marie this summer. The ten-day festival, which will take place from August 10-20, 2017, will welcome acts from across the country, and include everything from buskers and street performers to theatre productions, all performing in our city's downtown.

The festival is the first of its kind for our city, but has a successful history of similar events in city centres around the world. The festival is currently looking for community sponsors to support the first-time event, as 100% of the proceeds go directly to the artists.

The deadline for registration for artists and productions is May 20.
