Sault band Mannapool is taking a shot at the big time with a song submission to the CBC Song Quest contest. Local2's Jasmyn Pozzo caught up with some of Mannapool's members at Case's Music to chat about their contest run.

The winning band will get a studio version of their song recorded with Canadian rocker Joel Plaskett, and have their track aired in a prime-time montage at the beginning of a Hockey Night in Canada broadcast.

The band (consisting of local musicians Josh Ingram, Korey Deluca, Mike Dempster and Dan Kreutzweiser) wrote the original song Fire & Ice for the contest.
