SOO SINGS FOR KIDS

Fans who were not able to get a ticket for this popular workplace glee competition will for the first time in the history of Soo Sings for Kids be able to watch the show live online at SooToday.com.

Tune in May 11 at 7 p.m. to watch more than 150 everyday employees transformed into stage performers, singing and dancing for their selected children’s charity.

Since 2013 this annual event has raised $45,000 for local children’s charities. This year’s sold out show translates to another $20,000 for the Kids!

  • “Chalk Talk” from the Algoma District School Board/CASS: Vocal mentor Kelly McGillivary  and Dance mentor Alicia Annett
  • “Encore” from Algoma Public Health: Vocal mentor Timothy Murphy and dance mentors Kaitlyn Pelletier and Christina Tucci
  • “The Tributes” from the Arthur Funeral Home: Vocal mentor Donna Hilsinger and Dance mentor Sandra Dewar
  • “Team Ignite” from the Children’s Rehabilitation Centre Algoma: Vocal mentor Stephen Patterson and dance mentor Skye Stewart
  • “Harmonies for Hope” from the Huron Superior District Catholic School Board: Vocal mentor Lesley Walsh Tibben and Dance mentor Jennifer Avery
  • “#1-ders” from Sault College: Vocal mentor Louise Stephens and Dance mentors Charlotte Reich, Liliana Speck, and Taryn Goulding
  • “WIC Wonder Women” from Women In Crisis: Vocal mentor Anthony Aceti and Dance mentor Justice Stephany
  • “Singing Strong” from the YMCA: Vocal mentor Shauna Major and Dance mentors Tania Castellani and Vanessa Lajambe

The Selected Charities:

  • Autism Ontario Local Chapter, Big Brothers/ Big Sisters, Canadian Tire Jump Start,
  • Children’s Rehabilitation Centre Algoma, Children’s Hospice ARCH, Easter Seals
  • Sault Area Hospital NICU, Women in Crisis Children’s program, and YMCA Strong Kids
