The National Grand Slam of Curling kicked off at the Essar Centre on Wednesday evening and hometown favourite, Team Jacobs, came out on top with a 9-3 win in seven ends against Team Kean. Team Jacobs maintains their number one in the world ranking and will continue with two games Thursday and two on Friday before the finals this weekend.
