On Saturday, December 3, 2016 at approximately 5:50 p.m. police responded to a Fail to Remain motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 in Aweres Township near the intersection of Highway 556.

A small car with three occupants was traveling southbound on Highway 17 when the driver observed a pickup truck approaching from behind at a high rate of speed.

The pickup truck then rear-ended the southbound car. As the driver attempted to move over, the pickup truck struck the car a second time before passing and continuing southbound.

The suspect vehicle was observed to be an older model red Chevrolet pickup truck with the word “CHEVROLET” written across the tailgate in white letters.
