“I have two unique events coming up, geared to women,” explained Paulette Morey, owner of Events by Morey Made. “The first is our Make Your Mom’s Day Market, April 27 and 28; and the second is our Sip, Shop, and Socialize Ladies Night on May 2.”
Morey continued, “Both events are firsts for us, as the Mom’s Day one is at Georgian Mall, we have never had a show there before. The social night is at Room 22 and we will have a bar and food available for purchase at that, which we have also never done before.”
The Mom’s Day Market runs Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be lots of vendors with items to purchase that are geared to women, or the moms on your list. “Most of the vendors are women, as well,” said Morey. “I am hoping to do a door prize draw too, with the prize being a shopping spree at one of the show’s vendors.”
The Sip, Shop and Socialize Night is on Thurs. May 2 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Room 22, 20 Dunlop Street East. There will be at least 20 vendors here, and the emphasis will be on interactive activities, such as making a bracelet, or other jewelry, or art.
“It will be a chance for women to get together, maybe come out with a girlfriend or your own mom, have a drink, enjoy some snacks, and make something together, chat, and relax,” said Morey.
Both events have free admission. Individual activities on May 2 will have different materials fees associated with them.
“We are looking forward to seeing lots of women out enjoying these unique events,” said Morey. “There will be so many talented artisans with one-of-a-kind items for sale, or to make. It’s a chance to pick up something that no one else will have, something truly special and unique, for yourself, or your mom or special woman in your life. Who wouldn’t want that?”
