NorthStream continues to provide the most affordable and convenient way for individuals, companies, families and groups to get the COVID testing they need, even as requirements continue to change.

The latest guidance regarding out-of-country travel is for all travellers aged five and up to have proof of a professionally administered or observed negative antigen test taken outside of Canada no more than one day before entry into Canada. The administrator or the observer of the test must be a pharmacy, laboratory, healthcare entity or telehealth service.

NorthStream falls into the above noted categories and has confirmed this with the Ministry of Health – therefore NorthStream can officially observe, from its current facility here in Canada, a test done in the United States or anywhere with a video link.

Executive Director Cory Stainthorpe confirms, “NorthStream can provide the antigen test, or you can purchase your own – but make sure it’s a Health Canada approved test. Simply book us to observe the test within one day before you enter into the Canada. We’ll ensure the test is done properly via a video call and issue a form via email of our observing the test, and test results. Add this test to your Arrive Can App prior to returning to Canada.”

This only applies to fully vaccinated travellers entering into Canada. Travellers are considered fully vaccinated if they have received two doses, a mix of two doses of an accepted-for-travel vaccine, or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Rely on NorthStream for all your COVID-19 testing needs, along with occupational, drug and alcohol and worksite testing. NorthStream is also a solution for integrated worksite substance abuse programs and employee re-integration. The company is proud to have been selected as the official COVID-19 testers for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Thunder Bay, and looks forward to continuing to serve the needs of clients from an expanded facility as the services offered continue to grow.
