It may have taken a little longer than expected, but the shimmering new World Cars Hyundai dealership is finally open at 300 South Market Street in Sault Ste. Marie.
Despite the unexpected challenges of completing a major construction project during a pandemic, the new location is ready to accept customers into a glittering showroom and a service bay that can accommodate up to 14 cars. Owned and operated by 60-year automotive veteran John Dick and son/dealer principal Mark Dick, World Cars Hyundai joins World Cars Kia as two of the area’s top dealerships for sales of new and used cars, advantageous financing and expert maintenance and repair.
While the new dealership is located only two blocks from its previous location, General Manager Chad Soulliere said the time was right to make the move.
“We just outgrew the old facility,” explained Soulliere, who has served over 21 years in his role with the company. “We’ve got the same owners, but this is all about growth for the business.”
As part of the ongoing commitment to service excellence, Soulliere said that for the first time World Cars Hyundai will include a drive-in service bay at the new location.
“Our reputation in the Soo is all about service,” he said. “Service has been (owner) John’s thing for nearly 60 years.”
The dealership now boasts over 30 staff to go along with the line-up of high-quality Hyundai automobiles, which include everything from the fully electric Hyundai Kona sport utility to the 8-passenger Hyundai Palisade. As beautiful as those models can be, however, Soulliere says the real attraction is the Hyundai warranty package.
“We offer a five-year comprehensive bumper to bumper warranty,” he said. “Five years or 100,000 kilometres for all models. That’s the best warranty in the city.”
