Market Mall Drug Mart, one of I.D.A. Drug Marts four locations, has been providing pharmacy services to residents for over 55 years.
The company, which was founded in 1957 by Joe Disano and Ron Disano, is still locally owned and operated. These days, customers enjoy a wide range of services including a pharmacy, walk-in clinic, injection and immunization services, a Sweet Greetings gift shop, imported gourmet Aurora Italian food, and even wine making supplies.

One of the co-owners of I.D.A. Drug Marts, Sam DeSumma, is also the pharmacist at the Market Mall location. He has been with the company since 1987 and has worked out of Market Mall Drug Mart since 1994.
Sam loves his work and he loves the community. He is proud of the exceptional services that I.D.A. Drug Marts is able to provide for area residents. “My customers are my friends. I have been serving a lot of our customers since I started with I.D.A. Drug Marts in 1987,” he says. “We don’t make our patients wait unreasonable amounts of time to have their prescriptions filled. According to Joseph Greco, another co-owner and the grandson of founder Ron Disano, Sam is the kind of person who does whatever he can to help his customers.
“If people need a prescription in an emergency or have some kind of ailment, Sam will go there after hours, on weekends, whenever he is needed in order to help his customers. He is passionate about taking care of people,” he explains. “Sam loves his work and loves the community. He is proud of the exceptional services that IDA Drug Marts are able to provide to area residents. For many years Joe Disano was the staple at our Market Mall location - he had big shoes to fill. Sam filled them without question and continues Joe Disano’s legacy.”

Market Mall Drug Mart also offers an incredibly safe and secure prescription delivery service. Joseph explains, “We don’t use an outside delivery service in order to make sure that everything is as safe and secure as possible. Our delivery drivers are employed by us. It means that the patients’ medications and their information is kept private and safe.”
