Whether you are currently employed, in transition or considering exploring new ventures, Laurentian University offers 26 fully online programs in the areas of health, arts, management and sciences, delivered on-campus, online or via a hybrid mode, part-time or full-time for maximum study flexibility.
They also offer additional qualification courses for teachers and professional development opportunities for health-care workers. For learners looking for career development and enhancement or a new venture that fuels their passion, there are new non-credit micro-credential ‘bite-size’ (modular) courses which offer a perfect solution for busy lifestyles.
These include career tracks such as Registered Behaviour Technician, Critical Care and End of Life Doula, and the development of business skills such as grant writing.
The Continuing Learning programs and the more than 400 courses are all created in-house with content experts and peer reviewers who work in the respective fields of study. Learners are provided the opportunity to study part-time or full-time, in English or French, with semester starts in September, January and May.
Courses and programs are also eligible for financial aid, grants, awards, and bursaries, and loans are also available to qualified part-time and full-time students.
Laurentian’s Director of Continuing Learning, Dr. Bettina Brockerhoff-Macdonald is enthused by the Centre’s enrolment growth over the past decade: “In our ever changing world and with the rapid evolution of workforce skill set requirements, continuing learning is more critical than ever. Our students wisely choose to stay ahead of the curve and become leaders in workplace transformation.’’
