As summer approaches, parents in Sault Ste. Marie may find themselves facing the challenge of keeping their children engaged and entertained during the break. However, Case's Music has the perfect solution with its highly anticipated summer music camps for kids aged four to 11.

These camps offer a unique blend of musical education and exciting activities, ensuring children have a memorable summer while honing their musical skills.

With limited spots available, parents are encouraged to secure a place for their children quickly.

Jacob Rendell, the owner of Cases Music, highlights the popularity of the camps, stating, "We only have 12 spots available in each class, and they fill up very, very fast."

The week-long music camps, running throughout July and August, provide young campers with an immersive musical experience. Each day, participants receive a private music lesson on an instrument of their choice, introducing them to the joy of music-making.

The camps cater to beginners and those with prior musical experience, offering an excellent opportunity to explore new instruments or develop existing skills.

In addition to the private lessons, campers engage in group lessons focusing on percussion, dance, singing, and more. These collaborative sessions foster teamwork and allow children to develop a well-rounded understanding of music. By the end of the week, campers prepare for a concert, showcasing their progress and newfound talents to their parents.

Beyond music education, Case's Music organizes daily excursions to popular local destinations in Sault Ste. Marie's, such as museums and the splash pad, provide a balance of cultural enrichment and recreational fun.

"We do a ton of excursions and stuff downtown. We go to Clergue Park almost every day. We change it up year over year, offering fresh experiences to our campers," said Rendell.

While the primary focus is on music education, the summer camps prioritize fun and enjoyment.

"We're gonna have so much fun, they won't even realize we're teaching them stuff," he said.

The summer camps have become a staple at Case's Music, running for eight years.

"Most of the people that have reached out to me after the fact said that they love it. It is the camp that their kids have had the most fun at."

These music camps are suitable for any child between ages four and 11 who wants to try something new and have a fantastic time. Whether a beginner or someone seeking to expand their musical horizons, Case's summer camps offer a supportive and enriching environment.

Led by talented instructors Todd Webb and Mikaela Murtonen and supported by other experienced teachers, campers receive personalized attention and guidance throughout their musical journey.

Many children will even sign up for multiple weeks, allowing them to continue building upon their skills and enjoying the camaraderie of their fellow campers.
