Lane closures planned as road work continues in Michigan Sault

Beginning today, motorists should expect lane closures and delays as the next phase of construction on the I-75 Business Spur (BS) in Sault Ste. Marie begins.

One lane of alternating traffic will be open on the Three Mile Road overpass using traffic signals. This configuration is expected to remain in place until October.

The closures are necessary while crews work on the last major stage of the project, between the Three Mile Road overpass and the northbound I-75 on and off ramps. The work is part of the Michigan Department of Transportation's (MDOT) reconstruction and roundabout project.
