SAULT STE MARIE, MICH. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Field Operations today announced the anticipated closure of the Drummond Island reporting station for the 2018 winter snowmobile season.

CBP Office of Field Operations out of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. will end scheduled service as of Mar. 4, 2018.

CBP Field Operations will cease staffing the reporting station prior to Mar. 4 should it be determined that the ice bridge is no longer safe to cross: CBP does not make the determination if the ice bridge is safe or unsafe.
