SAULT STE. MARIE, MICH - Craft beer enthusiasts are invited to Sault Ste. Marie’s only outdoor craft beer tasting festival, Saturday Aug. 10 from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. During this intimate yet vibrant celebration, attendees can sample selections from 16 representatives of the thriving Michigan craft beer industry and chat with brew masters with little-to-no wait in line.

Moloney’s Michigan Beerfest boasts a unique tasting setting, adjacent to the picturesque Soo Locks; a plethora of surrounding shopping and dining opportunities; and vibrant nightlife for both locals and tourists.

This event, now in its sixth year, will be hosted in a brand new location at the farmers market pavilion, at the intersection of where Ashmun Street and Portage Avenue meet under the canopy.

Abby Baker of Moloney's Alley, the presenting sponsor of "Moloney's Michigan Beerfest" has donated 10 per cent of the beer festival's profits to a local charity each year.

Baker notes, “Nice to see that Michigan craft beer has finally taken over Sault Ste. Marie; thank you to all the sponsors and volunteers for help building this event to what it is today!”

This year Abby has chosen Torque Boxing, and Moloney's Alley will donate $1,000 directly to the cause. Torque Boxing, ran by Randy McRorie, is a club offering an athletic outlet for stress relief and coping mechanisms encompassing boxing techniques for all ages.

Pre-sale tickets can be purchased online. Day of tickets will be available at the festival area for $20 and include five drink tickets. Additional event information can be found here.
