VANDALISM AT CONSTRUCTION SITE

Echo Bay, Ont.,

Sault Ste Marie OPP have been made aware of vandalism at a construction site on Church Street in Echo Bay.

Workers at the site of a proposed new retirement home on Church Street in Echo Bay have reported a steady increase in the amount of vandalism at the site. It started with small amounts of construction materials missing after the workers left the site. It has progressed to having various construction items being thrown around area.

Yesterday the workers advised police that windows and mirrors on motorized equipment were smashed out. Police will make extra patrols of the area. Residents of Echo Bay are being asked to call police if they hear or see any unusual activities in or around the area of the construction site.
