Sault Ste Marie OPP are investigating a break and enter to a house and shed on Maki Lake in the Heyden area. Sometime in the past week, culprits forced open a door on the house and enter the home.

The owner is still attempting to determine what is missing from the house and shed.

Break and enters, thefts, vandalism, and all other property crimes not only affect the individual victims, but will eventually cost everyone money. Fighting crime and solving crimes is an ongoing "battle" for everyone in all communities.

Criminals travel far and wide to commit crimes. Property crimes committed in one particular area may not be committed by someone who, necessarily, lives in that area. Be vigilante of who lives in your neighbourhood and who doesn't belong in your area.

If you see something that doesn't appear to be ordinary for the area that you live in,-- trust your instinct-- call the police
