TWO VEHICLE COLLISION RESULTS IN CHARGES AGAINST ONE DRIVER
Heyden, Ont.,

A two vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy 556 and Hwy 17 yesterday resulted in one Highway Traffic Act charge being laid against one of the drivers.

At about 2:00 p.m. yesterday a pick up truck was turning onto Hwy 17 from Hwy 556. The driver of the pick up truck did not see another vehicle coming north on Hwy 17. The pick up truck pulled out in front of the northbound vehicle and was struck by the north bound vehicle. No one was hurt in the accident.

Forty-two year old Larry Pelchat, of Goulais River, has been charged with Fail to Yield under the Highway Traffic Act.


POLICE FORCED TO PUT DEER OUT OF ITS MISERY
Garden River, Ont.,

At 4:00 a.m. this morning, Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to Hwy 17 on the Garden River First Nation Territory. Ministry Of Transportation Patrols discovered an injured deer on the highway.

When the police arrived, the deer was laying on the roadway and was unable to
