ALTERED MONEY ORDER PASSED AT BATCHAWANA STORE Batchawana, Ont., Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to a Batchawana store, north of Sault Ste Marie yesterday, after a young woman successfully passed an altered Canada Post money order.

Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to a Batchawana store, north of Sault Ste Marie yesterday, after a young woman successfully passed an altered Canada Post money order.

The female suspect made a small purchase at the store and received the remainder of the amount in cash. The money order was originally made out for
$2.00 but was illegally altered to read $200.00. Sault Ste Marie OPP believe that this occurrence is connected to occurrence’s in the East Algoma OPP area and the city of Sault Ste Marie.
