THE GALES OF NOVEMBER” AGAIN ??

Goulais River, Ont., The Sault Ste Marie and surrounding area will experience high winds today so drivers and pedestrians want to be extra careful in their travels.

Some weather stations are predicting wind gusts anywhere from 60 to 80 km/h (35-50 mph) in the Sault and area today and that already has poised some problems with transportation in the area. This morning just before 7:00 a.m. a school bus reported a tree down and blocking Havilland Shores Drive in Goulais River. Repair crews were enroute to the scene to clear the roadway.

As you travel in the area today be extra vigilant of just what may be around that next corner. Fallen trees and tree limbs, blowing debris, garbage containers and anything else may suddenly be right in the path of your vehicle. Keep both hands on the wheel, eyes on the roadway and always in a state of preparedness for that unexpected piece of debris to suddenly appear on the roadway right in front of your vehicle.
