MINOR INJURIES AFTER 11 YEAR OLD HIT BY CAR
Heyden, Ont.,

An eleven year old Heyden boy escaped with very minor injuries after he was hit by a car last evening.

At about 6:45 p.m. last night one car was stopped on Hwy 17 in Heyden waiting to turn into a private entrance. A second car was stopped behind the first one and did not pass on the right because of two boys that were on their bikes on the side of the road. It appeared that the two boys were waiting to cross the road.

The first car made its turn into the entrance and the second car started to continue north. One of the two boys rode across the roadway into the front of the second car. The car struck the back tire of the bike and the boy was thrown across the hood of the car and onto the pavement. An ambulance was called to the scene but no one needed any medical treatment at the hospital.

No charges were laid in this incident.
