MISSING MAN FOUND Yesterday, Sault O.P.P. responded to a highway variety store in the Batchawana area regarding an elderly male who appeared to be very disoriented. Before police arrived, he had departed on foot.

Yesterday, Sault O.P.P. responded to a highway variety store in the Batchawana area regarding an elderly male who appeared to be very disoriented. Before police arrived, he had departed on foot.

Further investigation revealed that he was missing from Sault Ste. Marie and had arrived in Batchawana by bus. In consultation with family members, he was located in Batchawana a short time later and returned to the Sault.

CAR/MOOSE ACCIDENT
Yesterday at 1:50 a.m., the driver of a 1997 Volkswagen Jetta went to the Sault O.P.P. station to report hitting a moose 150 kilometres north of the Sault.

The driver had been southbound when the moose entered the highway from the east striking the driver's side of the vehicle. The two occupants were uninjured and the vehicle sustained moderate damage.
