MILE HILL ACCIDENT
Sault Ste. Marie

At 8:00 yesterday evening a large moving truck lost control on a wet highway while northbound down the Mile Hill. Luckily, oncoming traffic avoided the truck, which flipped onto its side in the east ditch.

The 25-yeqar-old male driver from Mississauga had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was transferred to Sault Area Hospital with surprisingly few injuries. He had been wearing his seat belt.

The highway was closed for a short time until one lane could be opened. The highway was fully open at 11:10pm.
