O.P.P. investigated a single motor vehicle accident yesterday on highway 552 west of Goulais River. A motorcycle driven by Raymond Rice of Goulais River was eastbound on 552 when he struck a dog that had run onto the highway. The driver received minor injuries, the dog was killed and the motorcycle was severely damaged. No charges are being laid in the incident.

Dog owners are reminded to keep their animals tied up at all times. A failure to do so may lead to charges under the Dog Owner's Liability Act.
