The Sudbury detachment of the O.P.P. wishes to advise that Highway 17 has been re-opened following the investigation of a multi-vehicle accident. There has been one fatality although police won't be releasing further details until 10:00 am today.

The Sudbury detachment of the O.P.P. wishes to advise that Highway 17 has been re-opened following the investigation of a multi-vehicle accident.

There has been one fatality although police won't be releasing further details until 10:00 am today.

The accident occurred 4km east of the Highway 69 turn-off. The highway, which had been closed in both directions for nearly 24 hours, has now been re-opened.
