Goulais River, Ont.,

A Saskatchewan man will appear in bail court this morning after not paying for gas at a Goulais River gas station.

Yesterday at about 11:00 a.m. the man pulled into a Goulais River gas station and purchased about $50.00 worth of gas. His various means of credit payment were not accepted. He made certain assurances to the owner of the business to drive to Sault Ste Marie and return with the payment. After an extended period of time the suspect did not return and the owner called police.

OPP officers from the Blind River OPP detachment located the suspect in that area and he was returned to Sault Ste Marie. The man was arrested and is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Twenty eight year old Jeremy Passmore of no fixed address will appear in bail court this morning. He is charged with one count of Theft Under $5000.00.
