Sault Ste Marie, Ont. - Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Detachment responded to seven collisions and vehicles in the ditch from mid-morning yesterday, when the freezing rain hit this area, until about 9 p.m. last night.

Luckily only one of the seven crashes resulted in minor injuries.

At 9:30 yesterday morning a single vehicle collision on Bar River Road in Laird Township resulted in minor injuries to the driver.

No ambulance was required.

I will type this hint to all drivers so that once again people will realize what the major cause of winter crashes are in this area.
