HYDRO POLE STRUCK IN SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION

There were no injuries yesterday after a car struck a hydro pole on Pineshores Road in Goulais River yesterday.

At about 11:30 a.m. yesterday a woman was traveling west on Pineshores Road in Goulais River when she lost control of her car on an icy patch. The car slid into the ditch and stuck a hydro pole. As a result of the impact the top section of the pole snapped.

Great Lakes Power was called to the scene to replace the pole. The driver was not injured in the collision and no charges were laid in this investigation.
