Stolen Vehicle

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) On August 15, 2005 at approximately 10:03 p.m. police responded to a call regarding a stolen vehicle from 10 Veteran’s Way in Elliot Lake.

The complaint advised that the vehicle was parked in the parking lot at 6:00 p.m. and was noticed to be missing at 10:00 p.m.

The vehicle is a 1993 Plymouth Voyageur, white in color bearing Ontario marker AFWV875.

Anyone with information regarding the stolen vehicle is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers.


Domestic Assault, Threatening

(Thessalon, Ont.) Just prior to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday 13 Aug. 05 East Algoma O.P.P. received a report of a male who was alleged to have assaulted a female party and threatened the family during an altercation at their residence.

Police located the man sometime later, arrested him without incident and held him in custody.
He is facing several charges as follow:
Assault X 2, Assault with a Weapon X 2, Uttering a Threat X 2, and Unauthorized possession of a Firearm X2.

The male is to appear today 17 Aug. 05 in Bail Court in Sault Ste. Marie.

Due to the nature of the occurrence the names of the parties have not been released.
