HEYDEN WOMAN ASSAULTED

Heyden, Ont.,

A Heyden woman was treated at Sault and Area Hospital after being assaulted.

Yesterday at about 1:45 p.m. police were called to the Cedar Court home in Heyden after the woman called police. She was taken to Sault and Area Hospital where she was treated for a broken finger and other minor injuries. The male suspect had fled the home prior to police arrival.

The suspect is known to officers at the Sault Ste Marie detachment. Later this morning the OPP will seek a warrant for his arrest.
