Suspect Caught (Elliot Lake, Ont.) The OPP has arrested a 21-year-old Elliot Lake man in regards to an incident that occurred on March 27th, 2005. At approximately 2:12 a.m.

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) The OPP has arrested a 21-year-old Elliot Lake man in regards to an incident that occurred on March 27th, 2005.

At approximately 2:12 a.m. on the above date, police were called to attend a local bar in regards to an altercation in the parking lot.

Investigation revealed that the accused had been served a Trespass Notice and the notice was still in effect. The suspect was seen by the owner and advised to leave the property. The 21-year-old male then struck the victim as the victim was returning to his business. The altercation continued with one of the employees.

The accused left the area prior to police arriving.

Charged with Assault X 2 is Keegan Cory LARIVIERE (21) of Elliot Lake. LARIVIERE is scheduled to appear in court on June 7th, 2005.

Bullying Incident Leads to Charges

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP has concluded their investigation in regards to a bullying incident at a local elementary school. The alleged incident occurred on March 8th, 2005 during the afternoon recess. Investigation revealed that 4 youths coaxed a student to attend the back area of the schoolyard. The student was allegedly tied to a fence for a short period of time. When the victim attempted to leave he was punched by one of the accused.

Charged with Assault are 4 male youths. The name of the 4 males will not be released as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act. All 4 accused are scheduled to appear in court on May 3, 2005.

Investigation completed.

Stolen Property Charge

(Blind River, Ont.) East Algoma O.P.P. have discovered the owner of the wayward Television recovered early Monday morning.

Officers were called to the Old Mill Motel in Blind River where it was discovered that a television had gone missing overnight.
Shortly after midnight on Sunday an officer located a man on Leacock St in Blind River carrying a T.V. on a bicycle. The T.V. was seized but the owner could not be determined at the time.

Charged with possession of Stolen Property is:
25-year-old Brian James SIMMS of Leacock St. Blind River
Simms is to appear in Court in Blind River on 02 June 2005.
