Mischief (Elliot Lake, Ont.) The OPP is once again investigating a mischief at a local high school. Sometime between Friday, May 6th, 2005 and Monday, May 9th, 2005 unknown person(s) threw a bottle at a rear window of the school.

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) The OPP is once again investigating a mischief at a local high school. Sometime between Friday, May 6th, 2005 and Monday, May 9th, 2005 unknown person(s) threw a bottle at a rear window of the school. Cost of damage is $250.00. Culprit(s) also gained access to the roof area and ripped off shingles. This damage is estimated at approximately $200.00.

Driving Complaint Leads to Charges for Local Man

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) On May 9th, 2005 at approximately 4:45 p.m. police received a call regarding a vehicle being cut off by another vehicle. While police were investigating the complaint they spoke with the driver of the suspect vehicle and noted signs of impairment.

Charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 is Archibald MCLEAN (77) of Elliot Lake.

MCLEAN is scheduled to appear in court on July 5th, 2005.

Pine Island Break and Enter

Pine Island, Ont., Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to the Pine Island area yesterday to investigate a break and enter to a seasonal home in the area.

Officers found the culprits had left both the front and back doors of the camp open. A search of the camp failed to immediately indicate if anything was out of place. It also appeared there was little to no damage to the building.

Another Animal Collision

Garden River First Nation, Ont., OPP were called to Hwy 17 in Garden River last night after a car–deer collision. Sometime around midnight a westbound vehicle on Hwy 17 was involved in a collision with a deer.

There was very minor damage to the vehicle and the deer was not located.
