Utility Shed Fire
(Elliot Lake, Ont.) On March 26th, 2005 police attended a residence on Hirshhorn Avenue in regards to a fire. The Elliot Lake Fire Department was on scene and the fire was quickly extinguished. The damage was contained to the utility shed situated in the rear of the residence.
Investigation revealed the fire was to be of a suspicious nature. The OPP and the Elliot Lake Fire Department are continuing their investigation.

Assault Charges Laid
(Elliot Lake, Ont.) In the early hours of March 27th, 2005 police were called to attend the parking lot of a local drinking establishment due to a large crowd of patrons gathering. Police and paramedics arrived on scene to find a victim of an assault needing medical attention.
Charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm is Shawn Michaels VERRETTE (23) of Elliot Lake and Steve Michael VERRETTE . Both parties are scheduled to appear in court on May 3rd, 2005.
Investigation continuing.
