RED ROCK TRAIL
A thief with a warped sense of fair trade was plying the Red Rock Trail over the past few days. It appears the culprit grew tired of paddling.

The sight of a boat, motor and fuel tank left unattended was more than this less-than-honest individual could resist. They have disappeared but in their place was left a canoe paddle. A broken canoe paddle at that!

IMPAIRED CHARGE
A traffic stop on highway 556 in Derosch Township near Northland Road has resulted in a Sault Ste. Marie man being charged with drinking and driving offences.

An odour of alcoholic beverage led to a demand for a test on the roadside-screening device. The driver failed the test. He was arrested and tested further. Charged with Impaired Driving is Lucas Bordin of 38 Sunnydale Road in Sault Ste. Marie.
