COLLISION SENDS ONE TO HOSPITAL
Heyden, Ont.

A Michigan woman was sent to Sault Area Hospital yesterday after a two vehicle collision on Hwy 556 in Heyden.

At about 9:30 yesterday morning two vehicles were traveling in the same direction. The first vehicle lost control and the second vehicle ran into the first vehicle.

Twenty-two-year-old Aubrey Welsh of White Hall, Michigan was taken to Sault Area Hospital with minor injuries. Thirty-two-year-old Brian Horton of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario has been charged with Careless Driving.

Sault Ste Marie OPP are reminding all drivers that the major cause of collision in the winter is driving too fast and too close in poor weather conditions. When the visibility is reduced and you can clearly see that the roadway is snow covered and slippery, give yourself extra time and extra room between other vehicles.
