Update Snowmobile Recovered (Elliot Lake, Ont.) The OPP have recovered the stolen snowmobile. The 1982 Black Ski Doo was found on Dunlop Lake with damage to the windshield and cab.

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) The OPP have recovered the stolen snowmobile. The 1982 Black Ski Doo was found on Dunlop Lake with damage to the windshield and cab.

Police Investigating Theft of a Snowmobile

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) The OPP is currently investigating the theft of a snow mobile. On January 7th, 2006 at approximately 5:00 p.m. the victim parked his trailer with his 1982 Black Ski Doo Everest at the Dunlop Boat Launch. Upon his return at 9:30 p.m. the owner discovered the snow mobile missing and the trailer still in place.

The sled has the following registration # 458211 on the cowling.


MINOR INJURIES IN MOOSE AND PICK UP TRUCK CRASH

Heyden, Ont., One man suffered minor injuries last night after he struck a moose on the top of the Mile Hill in Heyden, just north of Sault Ste Marie last night.

At about 11:00 p.m. last night a man was southbound on Hwy 17 in Heyden near the top of the Mile Hill. The pick up truck the man was driving struck a moose that was crossing the highway.

Forty year old Randall BARTLEY of Blackstock Ontario, the driver of the truck, suffered minor injuries in the collision. He did not require medical treatment. The pick up truck he was driving had considerable damage and had to be towed from the scene.
