R.I.D.E CHECKS CONTINUE
Sault Ste Marie, Ont.

The Ontario Provincial Police at Sault Ste. Marie continue their continuous series of R.I.D.E. checks in and around the Sault Ste Marie area.

Officers have issued several 12-hour drivers licence suspensions but so far no charges of impaired driving have been laid against anyone in this area.

The random spot checks will continue all through the Sault Ste Marie O.P.P. detachment area. This year, officers are making a concentrated effort to conduct more of these R.I.D.E checks on some of the back roads, “short cuts” and “by passes” that some of the more determined drinkers may try to use to avoid detection.
