TANKER TRUCK ROLLS
Heyden, Ontario
A loaded fuel truck spilled a small amount of its cargo when it rolled onto its side in a residential area of Heyden. The accident occurred at the intersection of Birch Grove Road and Trout Lake Road at about 1:00 p.m. today.
The 15,000 litres of heating oil were pumped into a second truck by 6:30 tonight and a tow truck pulled the stricken tanker from the ditch. Quick action by the Aweres Township Fire and Rescue prevented a more serious leak.
No one was injured. The investigation is continuing . No charges have been laid as yet.
